The Rensselaer Pride Alliance is a non-partisan student-run organization at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Our purpose is to provide support and advocacy for all gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered, questioning, and homo-friendly heterosexuals within the Rensselaer community. We try to increase positive awareness of the LGBTQA community by hosting speakers, movies, and participating in festivals such as Coming-Out Week and AIDS Awareness Week. We try whenever possible to provide educational information on issues concerning the LGBTQA community as a means to help stop homophobia. See our constitution for more information. Who can join? Anyone can join! Whether you're straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning - you're welcome to come to meetings. We especially try to encourage those who might be unsure of their sexual orientation to come to a meeting.
