Gay Men’s Chorus

My name is Dr. Ryan Endris, and I am the newly appointed Music Director of the Albany Gay Men’s Chorus. As our mission, the Albany Gay Men’s Chorus seeks to entertain and enlighten by creating high quality vocal music in the rich and time-honored tradition of male choral singing. The Chorus strives to promote pride in and acceptance of the gay community and endeavors to build bridges by making positive contributions to the greater Capital Region.

The chorus, which rehearses weekly on Wednesdays from 6:45-8:45pm, is open to all gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight men. We are hoping that some of your members might be interested in joining this wonderful community of singers. Would you be willing to please share this email and attachment with your organization’s members?

Rehearsals begin Wednesday, August 26, and take place at First Lutheran Church (181 Western Ave.); however, we will accepting new members through the end of September. Prospective members simply should come to a rehearsal, where they will be greeted with open arms. Non-singing members (our “fifth section”) are also welcome as volunteers in a “behind-the-scenes” capacity. Anyone interested in joining is also welcome to contact me by email at rrendris@gmail.com.

I hope you will be able to partner with us in fulfilling our mission of promoting pride and acceptance of the LGBT community through excellence in music.

Sincerely,

R. Ryan Endris, D.Mus

Damien Center

Hello,

I work at the Albany Damien Center and have begun a program designed for addressing HIV/STI in people of color. We keep the groups open, but this is our main area for target interventions. We have recently rented out the apartment space above Rocks Bar on Central Ave. We are turning it in to our office space and community drop in center.

I would love to touch base with you can discuss our program more in depth and see if there is any opportunity for us to collaborate on projects. I hope this finds you well. Tale good care.

Steve
